Hand In Hand is a website that educates, persuades, and engages its audience about a cause. I chose my topic on helping refugees in Indianapolis. The website, Hand In Hand, served incomign refugees with all the resources they need to resettle in their new home, from housing to education to employment to legal aid, etc. The site also targets local community members to participate and help their new neighbors. The site offers a mentorship program where these two personas build a meaningful relationship. Process
Problem:
Since 1975, the U.S. has welcomed millions of refugees, however, challenges like low admission caps, lengthy processing times, and cultural adaptation have made resettlement difficult. My website, Hand In Hand, tackles these challenges by providing refugees with essential resources and engaging the local community to take an active role in supporting newcomers.
Audience:
The primary audience includesrefugees and immigrants settling in the Indianapolis area. Secondary audiences are volunteers, local community members, and organizations looking to support these newcomers.
